A Brief history of Pastor Roger
Pastor Roger was born on August 21, 1951 in southwest Arkansas. He graduated from De Queen High School in 1969. He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, with degrees in English and Physical Education. He played on the college baseball team. He moved back to Arkansas, and attended Harding University, in Sercy, Arkansas, with degrees in Psychology and certified in marriage counseling, crisis intervention, grief recovery, and behavioral modification. .
Roger was ordained by churches of Christ in April 1984. He preached for 19 years for 3 churches in Arkansas. He directed summer church camp for senior high students for 9 years. He coached high school baseball for 13 years and worked for the state of Arkansas as a counselor at a Juvenile Holding Facility for 5 years.
He was married for 31 years till widowed. They had two daughters, Lena and Amanda, and Amanda just passed away last year and has two grandchildren from his daughter Lena and they live in Tennessee. Roger’s hobbies include, cooking, writing, butchering the game of golf, and is an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs.
